Ben Whelan

Occupational Therapist

Ben is an experienced Occupational Therapist with a strong passion for supporting older adults to live safely and independently. He holds a Bachelor of Exercise Science from the University of Tasmania and a Master of Occupational Therapy from the University of South Australia.

With a background in both residential aged care and community-based practice, Ben has worked with individuals living with a wide range of physical, cognitive, and age-related conditions. He focuses on enhancing quality of life through tailored interventions that address the person, their environment, and their daily activities.

Ben has extensive experience in conducting home safety assessments, falls prevention planning, prescribing mobility aids, and recommending home modifications. His work is grounded in evidence-based practice and a deep understanding of the unique needs of older people.

Known for his calm, approachable nature, Ben values building strong therapeutic relationships and takes a relaxed, person-centred approach to help clients maintain the meaningful activities that matter most to them.
